3. How do I send a ScreenMate to my friends?

Many of our ScreenMates contain a 'Send To A Friend' form. This allows you to send your friend an e-mail message containing a download link for the ScreenMate you want to send. We recommend that you don't send executable programs as email attachments. If the ScreenMate doesn't have a Send To A Friend form, just let your friends know that they can download the ScreenMate for free here on www.indesktop.com.

8. How do I Uninstall the original Felix the Cat ScreenMate?

Note: The following instructions and download are for the original Felix ScreenMate. As of 2009 we have launched a new Felix ScreenMate called MyFelix, which these directions do not apply. If you are confused about which application you have, check your computers Program Files.

If you place your mouse's cursor over Felix, while he is running, and right click, a drop down menu will appear. One of the options will read "Exit". If you click on that, you will close out of Felix until you choose to run him again.

If you want to delete Felix permanently, you must run the Felix "uninstaller". You can download the Felix Uninstaller from our website by clicking here. Run the uninstaller on your computer. Afterwards, restart your computer. Now the little guy will be gone for good.

If you have the newest version of Felix the Cat with the toybox, then right click on Felix when the program is running and select "uninstall." Follow the promptings.

11. How do I know that a ScreenMate does not include a virus?

In order to ensure that your ScreenMates do not contain a virus, follow these steps:

1. Download directly from our website, or that of our partners. Any reported errors in this case are more than likely erroneous. If in doubt check with a different scanner, always ensuring virus definitions are up-to-date.

2. If you are uncertain about one you have received in an email, check it with an anti-virus program, ensuring the virus definitions are up-to-date. It is a good idea not to run anything you are emailed, even if it is from a friend, until you check with them that they intended to send it to you!
